Magnolia Edwin with Christmas Lantern Shaker Card

Hi crafty friends! Today, it’s time for new challenge at Magnolia Forever. The theme for this challenge is

I decided to create a Christmas card in male tone to stay away from pink colour. I used the new stamp “Edwin with Christmas Lantern” from the latest collection A Lovely Christmas. Most decorations were from Doohickey Club volume 7 “Holidays are coming”. The snow scene die cut was so cute and I think it would be perfect for shaker card. Here is my creation for this challenge.

Materials:
  • Magnolia “Edwin with Christmas Lantern” stamp from A Lovely Christmas 2015 collection
  • Magnolia DooHickey Club Volume 7 “Holidays are coming”
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities “Grand Ovals” Dies
  • Paper from LOTV
  • Embellishments – Pearl stamens/ berries, shaker materials, glitter
  • Gesso

When shaking, shaker materials would become falling snow like this.

Magnolia Edwin with Lizard Bookmark

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog. To share today is the creation I made for new Magnolia Forever challenge. The theme is

To make a project to match this theme, I created a bookmark as a birthday gift for my friend. He loves reading and of course lizards as well. So I used the old Magnolia Edwin with Lizard stamp from Pet/ Animal 2009 collection. Here is the bookmark.

Materials:
  • Magnolia “Edwin with Lizard” stamp from Pet/ Animal 2009 collection
  • Hero Arts “Large Plaid Pattern” block stamp
  • My Favorite Things Die-namics “Pierced Rectangle” STAX dies
  • Kraft paper & Blue cardstock
  • Embellishments – String, Brad

The image was coloured with distress ink as usual. I used just a few decorations to make the bookmark flat as much as possible. Here is the close up.

I also attached magnet and a thin piece of steel to make the bookmark grip on the book page and would not slip off.
