PND – Will Work for Carrots Center Step Card

Hello! Today I have exciting news to share with everyone. After I created this card as a GDT for Paper Nest Dolls, Christine had asked me to join the design team. So I accepted her invitation. And here is another card I made for the Paper Nest Dolls inspirational blog.
PND Will Work for Carrots Center Step Card

I have created a center step card using “Will Work for Carrots” image from February new release. This image is so cute and I think it’s perfect for a fun card with colorful pastel tone. I decorated the card with only few die cuts to stay away from fussy & fancy style.

The image was colored with color pencils. I added pom pom trim around the image to get the look of fluffy bunny.

The bunny and carrots embellishments were made of clay and painted with acrylic paints.

The greeting in the middle was a stamp from Lili of the Valley. The rosette and bunny edge are die cuts from Doohickey volume 8.

CSD February New Release Day 4

Hello crafty friends! Today I would like to show you a card I made with the image from Crafty Sentiments Designs February New Release day 4. This image is called “Tea and TV”. Here is my card featuring this new stamp.
CSD Tea and TV
The idea for this card is that the boy is relaxing, drinking tea and watching TV at home. So I used Wood Grain embossing folder by Sizzix Tim Holtz to create wood texture on kraft paper. Then, I cut the wood texture paper into stripes and attached to the card base to create wood house background. Then, I added minimal decorations with kraft and blue to get relaxation feeling.

The image was colored with pencils. I also colored the image background with brown color to match the wood house.

CSD February New Release Day 2

Hello everyone! Today I have a showcase from Crafty Sentiments Designs February New Release day 2. This image is called “Josh and Gizmo”. Here is my card featuring this new stamp.
CSD Josh and Gizmo

This is such a fun image so I colored the image with pencils in bright color tone. I think this boy must be very happy spending time relaxing with his dog on the sunny day and it would be wonderful to capture this memory into the photo. So I added the photo frame around the image and decorated the card with colorful flowers and die cuts like camera, filmstrip, clouds, and sunshine. These die cuts are from Doohickey, Sizzix Tim Holtz, Technique Tuesday, and Die-Versions.

Since it’s the image of a boy, I want to make this card colorful but simple without too many decorations. I just added a few layers of pattern papers with bright colors and decorated with few die cuts from Memory Box (Daisy Flower), Technique Tuesday (Happy), and MFT (Button). The image was colored with color pencils.

Romantic Cats

Hello crafty friends! A few months ago, I was the winner at Paradise of Magnolia challenge so I got invited to be the GDT for February challenge. The theme for this month is

This theme is very challenging for me since I love to work with Magnolia stamps. I like to stamp out the images and coloring them. But this theme is totally different. I looked through all the Magnolia Doohickey dies I had then I came up with this idea. Since I’m a cat love and Magnolia has some of cat die cuts, I combine those dies into this card.

Most of die cuts in this card are from Magnolia Doohickey except the word “Love” which is from Simon Says Stamp. I also used Brick Pattern stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop to create the wall of the house. All Doohickey dies are listed below.
  • Doohickey Volume 4 – Window, Big & Small Flowers, Shovel
  • Doohickey Volume 8 – Sleeping Cat, Grass
  • Doohickey Volume 10 – Sun, Honeycomb Balloon
  • Vintage Box Volume 1 - Butterflies
  • Paris Night (Sitting Cat)
  • Lovely Fence
  • Cloud & Flag
  • Insta Love Cam (Hearts)

I really love the scene with 2 cats together. I think they are so sweet and romantic.

Both cats are inspired by my cat couple. At first, I wasn’t sure to use orange color for the female cat because most ginger cats are male. However, I decided to use the colors as my cat couple, male blue and female ginger cats.

I would like to enter this card to these challenges.

I hope you like this card as much as I do. Thank you for stopping by.

GDT Paper Nest Dolls – Ellie and Bunny Friend

Hi again! Today it’s also my schedule to showcase my GDT card for Paper Nest Dolls February New Release which theme is Easter/ Spring. This release has many lovely images where you can find in this link.

I have chosen the image “Ellie and Bunny Friend” to create this Easter/Spring themed card. The card is in pastel lavender and green color combo as I think it makes me feel the scent of Spring. The card base is from Magnolia Pop Up box. I decorated the card with pastel paper flowers, ribbon, and some die cuts from Doohickey.

Heart Easel Card

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share a card I created for the new Addicted to Stamps challenge. The theme is
(Valentine/Weddings/Anniversaries and so on)
I’ve created a sweet heart easel card for this challenge. I used Little B “Pierced Nesting Hearts” dies to cut the heart shape. The image is from Dreamerland Crafts “Walk with Me Hand in Hand” stamp from Spring 2014 collection. Since it is an easel card, the front cover can stand on the card base and some greetings can be written on the bottom small heart.
Heart Easel Card Dreamerland Crafts stamp

The stamped image was colored with distress ink. The background text was from Magnolia “Love Heart” stamp which I embossed with pink embossing powder.

I made a small pop up part so that the front cover can stand easily on the card base. The “Love” die cut was from Simon Says Stamp. I think this pop up part makes the easel card more interesting.

When closing, the card can be laid flat.
