Spring Swing Double Side Step Card

Hello everyone! Today I would like to show a card for Magnolia Forever challenge. The theme for this month is
I have created another spring themed step card. This time I used double side step card design. The steps are in the center of the card so I laid flowers field on these steps to create background for Tilda on the swing.

I decorated the card with many die cuts from Doohickey. These die cuts are from Doohickey volume 4 (flower field on both steps, clouds), 8 (Grasses), 10 (Leaves on the branch, sun), 11 (wood tag), and 16 (Big tree). I also used die cuts from Magnolia (Sakura Branch), Lawn Fawn (Grass border), and Spellbinders (Leaves). The sentiment ‘Happy Day’ is from Magnolia shadow stamp from Little Sunshine 2015 collection.

The cute Tilda is from Magnolia “Country Girl” stamp. I used stamp masking technique to make her sitting on the “Happy Swing” from the same collection. To add the story to the card, I also included the cat from “Kitty Kit” stamp from Spring Fever 2016 collection and masked it on the old “stock” from Halloween & Autumn 2008 collection. Those little birds are from “Little Summer Birds” from Sea Breeze 2013 collection. I colored all the stamped images with distress ink.

Thank you for stopping by and have a happy day!

Happy Springtime

Hello everyone! Today is the first day of the month again so it’s time for the new challenge at Magnolia Forever. The theme for this month is

The weather is getting hot here in Thailand so I guess springtime has come. I have created a spring-themed card inspired by a new kitten that I recently adopted. I always take her to the field outside my house and she really loves playing there. The card base is a die cut from Magnolia Vintage Box 1 and patterned paper is from Pion Design.

The image is from “Tilda with Spring Flowers” and “Kitty Kit” stamps from Magnolia Spring Fever 2016 collection. I used mirror stamping technique to make the kitten facing Tilda. I colored the image with distress ink as usual.

The sentiment “Happy Day” is Magnolia shadow stamp which I embossed with pastel orange embossing powder.

I also decorated the card with Doohickey Lovely Fence die cut. Adding tiny paper flowers makes this die cut even more cute.
This is my inspiration. I call her “Little Monkey” because she is very naughty.

I would like to enter this card to these challenges.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Happy Springtime!

Spring Box Card! It’s Time for Gardening…

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a creation for the new challenge at Magnolia Forever. The theme is...

I don’t have springtime in Thailand (only summer and rainy season here) so I imagine that spring is the time for gardening. People may go outside and start planting to revitalize their gardens. So I come up with this spring box card using “Tilda in the Garden” and “Floral Background” stamps. Here is my creation.

The box card can also be laid flat.

Materials:
  • Magnolia “Tilda in the Garden” stamp from Pink Lemonade 2014 collection
  • Magnolia “Floral Background” stamp from Happy Easter 2010 collection
  • Magnolia “Happy Day” shadow stamp from Little Sunshine 2015 collection
  • Magnolia DooHickey Club Volume 4 “Le Jardin”
  • Magnolia DooHickey Club Volume 6 “Harvest” – Use ivy vine
  • Magnolia DooHickey Club Volume 8 “Pets & Animals”
  • Magnolia DooHickey “Edwin’s Rectangle Lace” die
  • Magnolia DooHickey “Sakura Background” die
  • Magnolia DooHickey “Sakura Branch” die – Use small flower
  • Magnolia Vintage Box First Edition – Use small butterfly die
  • Lawn Fawn “Grassy Border” die
  • Paper Flower and Spray
  • Seam Binding – Hand dyed with Distress Ink “Broken China”

I decorated the box card with tulip paper flower to match with Floral background. The little butterflies were attached to the thin stripes of acetate sheet to make them seems like flying. The acetate stripes also made the butterflies move with the wind. Here is the close up.

This cream-white cat was inspired my cat, Lion. He is very naughty and likes to play in the garden. He always digs here and there and lays down on the grass or small plants. I think he loooves gardening.
Thank you for stopping by. Have fun in springtime.
