CSD February New Release Day 4

Hello crafty friends! Today I would like to show you a card I made with the image from Crafty Sentiments Designs February New Release day 4. This image is called “Tea and TV”. Here is my card featuring this new stamp.
CSD Tea and TV
The idea for this card is that the boy is relaxing, drinking tea and watching TV at home. So I used Wood Grain embossing folder by Sizzix Tim Holtz to create wood texture on kraft paper. Then, I cut the wood texture paper into stripes and attached to the card base to create wood house background. Then, I added minimal decorations with kraft and blue to get relaxation feeling.

The image was colored with pencils. I also colored the image background with brown color to match the wood house.

I would like to enter this card to these challenges.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a good weekend!

To make a project to match this theme, I created a bookmark as a birthday gift for my friend. He loves reading and of course lizards as well. So I used the old Magnolia Edwin with Lizard stamp from Pet/ Animal 2009 collection. Here is the bookmark.

Materials:
  • Magnolia “Edwin with Lizard” stamp from Pet/ Animal 2009 collection
  • Hero Arts “Large Plaid Pattern” block stamp
  • My Favorite Things Die-namics “Pierced Rectangle” STAX dies
  • Kraft paper & Blue cardstock
  • Embellishments – String, Brad

The image was coloured with distress ink as usual. I used just a few decorations to make the bookmark flat as much as possible. Here is the close up.

I also attached magnet and a thin piece of steel to make the bookmark grip on the book page and would not slip off.
